How we handle your information

Dasun is a small organisation and we like it that way. We collect as little personal information as possible, we never sell it, and we only keep what we need to run Daayada and Green Hearts well. This page explains exactly what we hold and why, in plain language.
Dasun (dasun.org) is the personal home of two organisations founded and funded by the same person: Daayada, which supports children’s education, and Green Hearts, which restores native forest. We do not collect donations through this site. For anything in this policy, we are the ones responsible for your information.
You can reach us any time at help@dasun.org or info@dasun.org.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive the details you choose to share: your name, your email address and your message. That is the whole list.
We do not run advertising, we do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other websites.
We use your details to reply to you, to answer questions about the foundations and to keep a record of our conversation. If you ask about joining a planting day or volunteering with the children, we use your message to arrange that with you.
We will never add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
Much of Daayada’s work involves children, so we hold ourselves to a stricter standard there. We publish a child’s photo or story only with the informed consent of their family, we never publish a full name alongside a photo, and we never share a child’s personal details with anyone outside the team.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only when the law requires it, or with the few services that keep the site and our email running, and then only as far as needed to do that job.
Our site links to daayada.org and greenhearts.foundation. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
The site works without advertising cookies and without invasive analytics. If we ever add simple visit counting, it will be anonymous and this page will say so first.
We keep correspondence for as long as we are in touch with you, then delete it when it is no longer needed. Access is limited to the small team that actually replies to messages.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to help@dasun.org and we will do it, usually within a few days, and always within a month.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted plainly rather than buried.
